So, who is Shelby?
Eldest daughter. Millennial. Type A.
So yes, I already made the list!
I’m naturally curious, people-oriented, and usually the person who hears “someone should really…” and starts figuring out how we could actually make it happen. I love a good idea, but I love turning a good idea into something real even more.
Life has given me plenty of opportunities to get good at that.
Years of changing plans, new places, new people, unexpected pivots, and starting over have taught me how to walk into unfamiliar situations, read the room, find what works, and move forward. I understand the word resilience a little more than I probably should!
Along the way, I've learned something about myself: I don't have to choose between being the bubbly person who will absolutely start a conversation with a stranger and the woman who can walk into a room ready to lead, problem-solve, and get things done. Both are me.
I care about people. I ask questions. I think three steps ahead. I like making connections others may not immediately see, and I genuinely enjoy figuring out how all the moving pieces can work better together.
I'm ambitious, adaptable, and probably incapable of doing anything halfway. I believe meaningful work can still be fun, professionalism doesn't require losing your personality, and some of the best opportunities start with simply being willing to raise your hand.
I'm always Shelby. I just put a blazer on sometimes!
